Paint The White Mountains With Laureen Hylka Wondolowski

Painting on location can be overwhelming. In this workshop, you will learn how to gather information and create on location sketches. You will simplify your intent for the painting, by drawing quick thumbnail sketches. These will be used as a map for your painting. You will continue by blocking in value masses, with a focus on design. By working within those masses and paying close attention to the color temperature shifts, you will form a solid groundwork for the painting. Attention to subtle nuances will finalize the painting. We will discuss how the thumbnail, plein air sketch, and digital images could be used as information for a finished studio painting. This is a one or two day event...you decide. Students responsible to bring their own supplies *materials list given once registered. Cost $60.00 per day (can opt for one or both of the days May 6th and/or 7th) Deadline sign up by May 1st (3 student Min / 6 Max) Don't miss the April 29th 1pm FREE Introduction to Plein Air Painting Seminar, where you be introduced to this timeless activity.
